Jeremie Frimpong’s potential move to Liverpool is gaining momentum. Florian Plettenberg reports that talks have taken place between the club and the Bayer Leverkusen right-back. While no verbal agreement has been reached yet, and Liverpool are yet to formally contact Leverkusen, Frimpong is seen as a key target to fill the void that will be left by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz was reportedly in England on Wednesday for negotiations with Manchester City. BILD suggests that City have made an offer to Leverkusen as they look to beat Bayern Munich to the highly-rated German midfielder’s signature.

Looking at potential midfield movements, Manchester United have identified Athletic Bilbao’s Oihan Sancet as a possible replacement for Bruno Fernandes. According to TEAMTalk, should their captain depart in the summer, United manager Ruben Amorim is interested in the 25-year-old, who has impressed with 17 goals in 33 appearances this season.

Across London, Arsenal are reportedly tracking Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos, as per Le10Sport. The 21-year-old, who spent the season on loan at Strasbourg, is also attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool are also casting their net wide, with TBR Football reporting their scouting of Bologna centre-back Jhon Lucumi. The Reds are among a host of clubs, including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton, and Leeds United, monitoring the defender who played a crucial role in Bologna’s Champions League qualification last season.

In a potential shock move, Arsenal are considered “serious contenders” for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, TEAMTalk claims. With the Frenchman potentially seeking an exit from Stamford Bridge, Arsenal, who have recently signed Kai Havertz and Jorginho from their London rivals, could make a move.

Elsewhere at Liverpool, backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher could be on his way out. The Mirror writes that newly-promoted Leeds United are intensifying their interest in the Irishman, who has been urged by Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson to seek more regular playing time.

Finally, Athletic Club winger Nico Williams has reportedly begun saying his goodbyes to teammates, hinting at a summer departure. The Spanish international is said to favour a Premier League move, with both Arsenal and Chelsea interested. Reports suggest Arsenal would prioritize a move for Williams over Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.

Adding to Arsenal’s transfer activity, they are also reportedly in the chase for Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos, who has impressed at Strasbourg, with PSG also in the mix.

Liverpool’s interest in Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi is facing competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur
