Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta as they look to add proven depth to their attacking line for the upcoming season.
The interest in the 28-year-old forward stems from the ongoing struggles of Rasmus Hojlund to find consistent goalscoring form. Mateta is viewed as a reliable, experienced Premier League option, having scored an impressive 30 league goals in the last two seasons, including three against United themselves in recent encounters.
Crystal Palace are expected to demand a fee upwards of €30 million (approximately £26m) for their talisman. AC Milan were also credited with an interest but reportedly backed away due to the cost, potentially clearing the path for United to make a move.
