The race for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has intensified with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal now seriously entering the picture. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Al Hilal’s manager, Simone Inzaghi, has personally requested the signing, and the club is considering making a “massive” offer to convince Newcastle to sell.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly not ended their interest in Isak, despite pushing forward with a move for Hugo Ekitike. However, their strategy has changed. After having their initial approach rejected, Liverpool are now waiting for an indication from Isak himself that he would be interested in a move to Anfield before they make another bid.
This creates a complex situation. Al Hilal are preparing a significant financial push to tempt Newcastle, who have so far insisted the player is not for sale. Liverpool, on the other hand, are playing a waiting game, making their next move dependent on the player’s own wishes.
Isak’s future now likely rests on his personal preference and whether Newcastle’s resolve can be broken by a huge offer from Saudi Arabia.
