It’s a done deal! Liverpool have successfully concluded their search for a new striker, having reached a full agreement in principle with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Hugo Ekitike.
Following a new round of talks today, the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee worth €95 million, including all add-ons. The breakthrough comes after Liverpool’s initial bid was rejected, but the Premier League side pushed to secure their top target.
Ekitike, who had already agreed to personal terms and was keen on the move, will sign a long-term contract with the club, committing his future until June 2031.
With the full agreement now in place, the French forward is scheduled to undergo his medical soon. This is a major statement signing for Liverpool, who have landed one of Europe’s most promising young strikers to lead their new-look attack.
