Bruno Fernandes will have an opportunity to leave Manchester United for Saudi Arabia this summer. A report states that Bruno Fernandes has been told he has until the end of May to decide whether to accept a lucrative transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Saudi giants Al Hilal are known to be heavily interested in Fernandes, who, despite underlining his desire to stay at Manchester United this summer, has openly stated that he would understand if the Red Devils decided to cash in on him to fund a summer rebuild.
Fearing a prolonged transfer battle, the Daily Mail reports that Saudi deal-makers have prepared a massive package to try and convince Fernandes to join, warning the midfielder that he has only one week left to respond.
The offer on the table is reportedly a transfer fee of £100 million ($135.1 million) for United, and for Fernandes, a staggering three-year contract with a weekly salary of £700,000 ($945,500). There are also believed to be bonuses worth up to £65 million ($87.8 million) per season.
Al Hilal is extremely keen to sign a new marquee player before the Club World Cup kicks off next month, and they appear ready to invest heavily in a player capable of fulfilling their ambitions, with Fernandes at the top of their list.
United officials insist they do not want to sell Fernandes this summer, but there is an understanding that receiving £100 million would significantly aid their transfer plans after failing to qualify for the Champions League, which has left them struggling to cover a deficit of £80 million ($108.1 million).
The Red Devils are hoping to recoup that money by selling other players. Three out-of-favor players, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, are key sales targets, and it is hoped that they will be able to generate most of that revenue.
However, offers may be considered for almost every member of the squad, with winger Alejandro Garnacho being another predicted to leave after a clear display of his frustration following the Europa League final defeat.
